Writing about a place special for you-Tallin

While is true that I have not been to every corner of the city, the old town of Tallin shocked me the fisrt time I walked along its streets. The medieval ambient involves you just at the point that you cross the old wall either from the back of the walled city or using the main door.

Stone roads for pedestrians give you the freedom to walk around without worring about cars while it is necessary due to the number of tourists, probably the only think I didn´t like of my small trips to this city. My favourite parts are always crowded, so that you can not really enjoy in peace the best of the city.

Apart from that, it has small alleys isolated where you´ll find magic in the shape of small hidden museums, cafés, craft stores or small spaces where you can only arrive by getting lost. These ones are my favourites. One day I discovered an small courtyard open. The pidgeons were stopped there, and the light was painting between the trees and the shadows a beautiful tapestry. A special energy got into myself and I felt I was meant to arrive at that place. The second time I traveled to the city I tried to find that place, but I couldn´t. As a challenge, the third time I set the goal of finding the place again. I did, and for my surprise, I found out that there were a religious painting museum and a convent museum. The first one was a free-entrance place. I didn´t get it the second one. The small museum was so magical that I will not even try to describe it.

To be honest, I never planned to visit this city by myself until someone took me there one weekend. I was surrounded by a group of great Italian people that offered me to join in the one-day trip from Helsinki to Estonia. It is very usual that people living in the south of Finland take the ferry to go to Tallinn. In a period of 10 months I went 4 times, and I don´t regret any of them. After a while I would go again without hesitating.

Maybe one day I continue this experience. Each trip had its own anecdots. If I had to describe the old town, I would say, cultural, crowded, cosmopolite, ancient and condensed.

Maybe one day I´ll continue telling this experience. Each trip had its own anecdotes. If I had to describe the old town, I would say, cultural, crowded, cosmopolite, ancient and condensed.
